The whole area of horticulture as it looks at the relationship between plants and people is one I want to continue to explore at GatherWell, and in fact we are working on a related project to look at people's experiences in terms of their relationship to plants that have been used in traditionally healing ways. I would love to learn more about your research and experience. What resources would you recommend? Best, Cynthia

Thank you for this entry. I really struggle with stress in almost all areas of life and really yearn to be able to someday to walk with it more. I feel like the intension of your blog has a lot to do with helping people feel more whole... And I love this!

Lately I have been experiencing positive stress - certain personal aims are actually materializing in my life and the subsequent scale and number of creative challenges is mounting. As i work toward deadlines that seem impossible it seems like I need dream time to kind of loosen my anal mind and simply feel the thing I wish to have happen....

It's almost like prayer....maybe or meditation.... I was wondering if you could bog about this in a future post?

Hi -

Thanks for your question. Yes, you may quote a couple of the articles as long as you provide credit and sources back to www.gatherwell.com . Would be interested to check out your site given the overlap. What's the address?

Thanks,
Cynthia

In recent years people have begun to see plants as providing people with something else - a sense of well-being. This well-being comes from using plants as tools to empower communities individuals and societies. In this new emerging field of horticulture researchers community leaders and individuals seek to understand the relationship plants have to people and their well-being.
